During the 1960's Gassers were immensely popular! And this '37 Chevy was out there tearing up the track with the rest of them! Powered by an angry Don Howell Built 327 Small block with Erickson Headers, Hilborn Injection, Velocity Stacks, Vertex Mag, Engle Cam and Valvetrain and Venolia Pistons.
It is paired to a Borg-Warner 4 Speed with a Schiefer Clutch, Wilcap Flywheel, and a Hurst Shifter.
Out back the car has a Pontiac Rear end with 5.

This car broke the Irwindale Raceway B/Gas Record with a 10.

The car has been featured in Hot Rod Magazine TWICE (1965, and 2005) and was also in the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in 2006.
The body is all steel except for the nose which was Hand Fabricated by Don Nowell.
Don was a Perfectionist, so all of the fiberglass components look identical to 37 Chevy Sheetmetal.
