Supervising production employees;
Planning, prioritizing and assigning work assignments;
Balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety and sound employee relations to achieve positive results;
Inspecting poultry housing and managing animal welfare and pest control program;
Overseeing flock changeover process;
Establishing a strong relationship with outside sales and service vendors;
Monitoring equipment and reporting problems to maintenance;
Ensuring an adequate supply of parts, tools and consumables based on demands and budget limitations;
Will be on-call for alarms.
EDUCATION: Post High School training preferred; Technical, Vocational, 2-year or 4-year degree preferred.
Experience:
3
years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in an agricultural or manufacturing environment;
Proven ability to lead people and get results through others;
Experience hiring, training, motivating and retaining a talented workforce;
General understanding of electrical and mechanical devices with good troubleshooting skills;
Knowledgeable in safety practices;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, bilingual is a plus;
Computer competency in a Windows based system.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
