Inspect, test, sort, and sample raw material or processed, machined, and fabricated parts.
REPORTS TO:
Quality Manager SUPERVISION GIVEN:
None SHIFT:
1st shift and 3rd shift PLANT:
Leffel Works PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires frequent bending, stooping, stretching, and prolonged standing.
May be required to lift up to 25 pounds continuously throughout an eight (8) hour shift.
Requires normal vision and hearing range.
Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a factory environment.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Conducts and records inspection data.
Identifies and routes defective products for rework or scrap as outlined in procedures.
Reviews work instructions to determine inspection criteria.
Compiles data and reports of inspections.
(Example:
sort log) Detects and reports defective components or questionable conditions to other Quality personnel.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Perform duties in a safe manner with attention to safety and productivity of all associates.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required Prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of inspection and quality measurement devices, including micrometers, calipers, height gauge.
Some blueprint reading knowledge preferred.
Steel-toed shoes and safety glasses required while performing duties in production areas.
Maintain organized schedules and filing Some computer literacy and data entry knowledge.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
