Assists the Administrator in the coordination of patient care and delivery of nursing services to patients.
Develops and maintains nursing service goals and objectives, standards of nursing practice, nursing policy and procedures and written job descriptions for each level of nursing personnel.
Implements policies for nursing and patient care.
Implements staff development and performs yearly competencies on clinical staff.
Coordinates nursing services with other patient services.
Establishes a means of assessing the nursing care needs of patients and providing enough staff to meet those needs.
JOB
Responsibilities:
Assist the Administrator with the daily supervision and activities of Gastro Care.
If the Administrator is not an RN, teaches trains and orients clinical personnel.
With the Administrator, establishes nursing service goals, objectives, procedures and policies.
Set up appropriate nursing/staff in-services and conducts the majority of them.
Assures that the narcotic count is taken and correct daily.
Clinical Nurse Manager will order all clinical supplies.
Is responsible, along with the medical director, for the monthly drug inventory.
Performs annual competencies on all center clinical staff and reports results to the Administrator.
Is the designated charge person when the Administrator is not present.
Is a member of Gastro Care's quality assessment and performance improvement committee and participates in standing committees.
Reports incidents to the Administrator and submits completed incident reports.
Works daily in clinical areas.
Assigns daily assignments to staff.
Performs other duties as may be necessary.
Complies with OSHA and HIPPA regulations.
Is in charge of all aspects of and implementing the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Program, per the Policy and Procedure for the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Program.
With the Gastro Care Administrator, will continuously assess and strive to improve Gastro Care's performance by designing operational processes, by monitoring performance through the evaluation of data, and by implementing a sustainable and auditable performance improvement program.
Will attend all Governing Body meetings.
At this time, along with the Gastro Care Administrator, will provide reports as required by the Governing Body.
In addition, along with the Gastro Care Administrator, will contact the medical director when there is any question regarding medical practice standards or the capacity of a physician to provide patient care.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Current Licensure as an RN in the State of Ohio Management experience preferred but not required.
Current ACLS.
Ability to take direction and foster an environment of cohesiveness among all clinical staff.
Extensive skillfulness to perform duties during procedures, pre and post procedure and the ability to process endoscopes when needed.
Recommended Skills Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certified Nurse Practitioner Clinical Nursing Clinical Works Health Care Leadership Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
