This individual will work closely with food service and maintenance personnel.
Job Responsibilities Live in the chapter facility in furnished suite (required).
Ensures a safe and productive environment for collegians.
Responds appropriately during all emergency situations by contacting appropriate parties.
Performs a daily walkthrough of the interior and exterior of the house, checking for any safety issues or maintenance related needs.
Provides a weekly report/update to the House Corporation.
Collaborates with maintenance and house corporation to manage all minor repairs in a timely manner.
Notifies the house corporation of any major repairs.
Reports immediately to the house corporation any hazards or damages that require insurance claims.
Collaborates with maintenance and house corporation to manage all minor repairs Works with maintenance, house corporation, and chapter leadership to make purchases, as needed and approved.
Escorts all service providers throughout the chapter house, as needed.
Keeps the house corporation informed of any inspection by insurance adjusters, fire department, government agencies, or others concerned with the maintenance, security, and safety of the House.
Assists the house corporation and university staff with the required fire drills and other required inspections; specifically seeking out any damage to the House.
Meets and regularly communicates any unusual trends, activities and/or problems with the Chapter to the house corporation.
Meets regularly with the house corporation and attends any meetings with Chapter members and/or alumni volunteers (CAB), as necessary.
Adheres to University, Office of Housing and Chapter policies and rules.
Opens and closes the House before and after each break in conjunction with the University academic schedule.
The House Director may be required to check on the House periodically during House closures.
Sets office hours during the week to meet with chapter members and vendors as needed.
Keep confidential all House Corporation, Chapter, and National Fraternity information to which the House Director has access.
Communicate with the House Corporation all discipline/behavior/rule violations of the chapter house.
Cooperate with the House Corporation and Chapter Officers on issues concerning the Chapter House and its members.
If not a member of Kappa Delta, be absent from the chapter house during any sorority chapter meetings (weekly Sunday evenings for approximately 60 minutes) or ceremonial events taking place there (typically 3-5 per semester lasting approximately 60-90 minutes each).
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
All other duties as assigned.
